Membership is moderated. We want snark, not drama.
But if you've got snark you *must* get out, this is the place to do it!
Rules:
1 - The snark stays here. Posts are automatically locked to the community. Do not unlock them without moderator permission. This won't change.
2 - We are about costuming here. No quizzes, no sharing the illnesses of others, no nothing but costumes.
3 - We are not a help community. If you need help with your costuming then you need to seek it elsewhere.
4 - Basic netiquette applies. Spammers, trolls, etc. will not be tolerated.
5 - Be considerate of folks' bandwidth and connection speeds. Learn about hotlinking and don't do it and either post a link to the photo in question or post a reasonably sized version only. Cuts are even better; here's a link about how to use cuts on DW.
6 - If you bring your grudge here and it's obvious expect to be mocked mercilessily and called on it. Your mods will far more than likely also be pointing and laughing - this is not the snugglenets. Do not make personal snipes about a person's character or bodily appearance (i.e. weight is not okay; blue eyeshadow with someone's Romano-British outfit is okay). You will be banned and mocked further and may even find yourself as a tags.
7 - Real names or identifiable names like SCA persona names are pretty much Right Out.
8 - If you disable, delete, screen, or freeze comments and/or comment threads, or delete your post without modly permission you will most likely no longer enjoy the delight of membership in this community. Do it and lose it. DON'T DELETE.
9 - Keep the snark *here*. Don't take it to other communities not designed for snark - they won't welcome it and you'll just look the fool. The banned fool.
10 - In honor of our friends elseNet, Praise to Balance the Snark is welcome here. It's good to be reminded that there are folk who take it seriously.
11 - Follow the TOS at all times. If you take it to personal journals be aware: IF WE DISCOVER THAT YOU HAVE POSTED OBSCENITIES, INSULTS, THREATS, ETC...IN ANYONE'S PERSONAL JOURNAL AS A RESULT OF ANYTHING POSTED HERE, WE WILL REPORT YOU OURSELVES.
If you feel that a rule has been violated, if someone from this community is trolling your personal journal, or you have a problem with a member, please contact a mod. DW has a message function that works very nicely at the top of the profile screen.
If you decide you don't like the snarkiness, you have an easy option. There's a link at the top of the community info page that reads "to leave this community." Use it.
